SHOULD I HIRE A PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST FOR MY WEDDING DAY?

It is very important to hire a Professional Makeup Artist for your wedding day.  A Professional Makeup Artist will make sure that your makeup will last all day and photograph beautifully.  Your wedding day is not a good day to risk doing your own makeup, or having a friend do it.  Only a professionally trained Makeup Artist will ensure that you will look and feel your absolute best on this very important day. A day that you will remember in your thoughts and look back on in photographs for years to come. Your makeup is particularly important to have done by an experienced professional.  Everyday consumer brands of makeup will just not cut it on your wedding day, through the hugs, perspiration and tears.  Consumer based brands are not meant for professional photography or video.  My training has far surpassed what was taught in Cosmetology/Aesthetics school, and I have over 14 years of experience doing Bridal and Photography makeup. I can assure you that your makeup will last all day and look amazing in photos. I will also be sure to provide you with a fun, enjoyable and relaxing experience on your wedding day.  I will come to you, wherever you are getting ready, and will handle all of the details regarding timing and scheduling of makeup.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK YOU?

I start booking up for the wedding season (May-October) up to 18 months in advance.

IS A DEPOSIT/RETAINER OR CONTRACT REQUIRED TO HOLD MY WEDDING DATE?

Yes, a signed bridal contract and a 25% retainer from the total amount due on your wedding day are required in order to reserve your date.  Be advised that no date will be reserved until the contract has been signed and the retainer has been paid.  The retainer will be put towards your final bill and it is non-refundable and non-transferable.

DO YOU HAVE MINIMUMS?

There is a $400 minimum for all Saturday wedding bookings.  If your wedding day services do not add up to $400, but you would still like to book, you still can at that base rate.  Please fill out the contact form for more information on rates and services offered.

WHAT BRANDS OF MAKEUP PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?

All of the makeup products that I use are Professional Brands that were designed to give long lasting results and photograph beautifully.  They are bought through professional retailers and are not brands that you will typically find in stores.  Please contact me if you would like more information on brands carried.

I DON’T WEAR A LOT OF MAKEUP, BUT I STILL WANT TO LOOK BEAUTIFUL ON MY WEDDING DAY.  SHOULD I HIRE A PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST?

Absolutely!  You don’t have to wear a lot of makeup on your wedding day to look beautiful, it just needs to be applied correctly and with the appropriate products.  If you don’t want to look too “made up” I can give you a very soft, natural bridal look.   It is most important on this special day that your makeup lasts, looks great in photographs, makes you feel beautiful and is applied flawlessly to make you feel and look your best.  Please take a look at my Portfolios Section for examples of a soft, natural look.  On your wedding day, you should feel comfortable with your makeup look and still feel and look like yourself.  I tell my Brides that on their wedding day they’ll look like themselves, but up a notch.  Whether you prefer soft and natural, or glam and dramatic, I can achieve your dream Bridal look.

HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR PRODUCTS SANITARY?

It is very important to make sure that the person you hire for your makeup is sanitary.  A good makeup artist will sanitize their hands right in front of you, have clean brushes, and a tidy makeup kit.  I always begin applying makeup using cleaned and disinfected brushes and products. I have been professionally trained to know how to keep everything clean and sanitary.  My brushes are cleaned before each work day, and between clients with antibacterial brush cleaners.  I do not share lipsticks and other products between clients, they are always taken out with spatulas and then mixed on a sanitized cosmetic palette.  All eye-shadows and eye/lip liners are disinfected with cosmetic sanitizer between usages, as well.

DO YOU PROVIDE ON-SITE SERVICES?

Yes I do!  Why worry about getting yourself and all of your party shuffled around and off to the church on time when I can come to you?!  All wedding day services are done on-site and Bridal previews/trials are usually performed in studio.  However, special arrangements can be made for the Bridal preview/trials if necessary.  I can come to the church, hotel, your home, or wherever you are most comfortable and is the most convenient for you and your wedding party!

DO YOU PROVIDE SERVICES FOR LARGE PARTIES?

Yes, I can accommodate as many as possible before your photos, depending on how early you are willing to start.  I pride myself on always being able to take care of the entire wedding party.  Please take a look at my Testimonials Section – I regularly book large wedding groups and always keep everyone happy and on schedule.
